Tens of thousand of workers demonstrated all over Ireland. Green Isle Strikers Protest 31st October 2009 Kildare Trades Council has backed the strikers and has called a March for Justice in Naas to support the strikers on Saturday 31st October, assembling at 2pm outside the Kildare County Council offices in Devoy House, Naas. Green Isle Foods of Naas, County Kildare, the makers of Goodfellas pizzas, are currently trying to break the union after sacking 35 workers on trumped up charges . CDP Cuts Protest 19th October 2009 Community activists marched to the constituency office of Minister for State John Curran who has responsibility for the National Drugs Strategy and Community Affairs on Monday 19th October 2009 . He wouldn't come out to speak with protesters but allowed some to go in. Speakers include: Cllr Gino Kenny (People Before Profit, South Dublin Co Co) & Rita Fagan (St Michael's Estate) NUJ Protest at INN 13th October 2009 Over 50 people turned out to support INN joiurnalists facing redundancy. Many came from media houses around the city including RTE, the Irish Times, the Irish Independant, the Irish Examiner and many freelancers.Striking Siptu workers from MTL and Coca Cola came down to show their solidarity with the INN journalists.
