People Before Profit supports attempt to win back Waterford Glass Brand Name

Donnie Fell launches Waterford City South Local Election Campaign

Donie Fell, a Glass Blower for 38 years at Waterford Crystal and standing as a People Before Profit Alliance candidate in Waterford City South in the forthcoming local elections, yesterday joined 12 other candidates standing for the Alliance at a photocall outside Bank of Ireland in Dublin.

Donie, a Trade Union representative and campaigner all his working life, serving on the Waterford Crystal Joint Negotiating Committee, the National Executive Committee of the ATGWU and an executive member of the WCTU joined other candidates such as Richard Boyd Barrett and Joan Collins in a call for jobs, high quality public services and real democracy not bails outs for bankers and developers.
