Appeal by Richard Boyd Barrett and Joan Collins for support for the by-election campaign in Dublin West

There is now just a week to go in this crucial election campaign.  We have  a real chance to win this election for the ULA,  causing a major shock and really putting the ULA on the map.  We are appealing to all PBPA members and supporters to do everything you can to help out in the next week.  If you do not feel confident canvassing there is plenty of leafleting to be done.

Arrangements for the next week are as follows:
Meet at the Bell Pub, at the entrance to Blanchardstown Village at 2pm for afternoon canvassing or leafleting.

Meet at the Bell Pub, at 6:45 for evening work.

Meet at the Bell Pub this Saturday at 11am for leafleting afterwards at 1pm there is a hospital protest and a rally later.  More details to follow on this.

Please contact Dermot Connolly at 087 7675691 if you require more info.

The EU/IMF deal is destroying the country. Many voted for the Fine Gael Labour Government in the hope they would make the changes they promised to the deal. Instead it has been more of the same. Everything that is happening, whether it is cuts to Special Needs in schools, closures of Hospitals or pouring more money into the banks, is happening because the IMF say so. We need to call a halt to his madness now and look for a sane way out of the crisis by burning the bondholders and speculators who got us into this situation and taxing the super-rich who benefitted. To do this we need People Power. The Enough Campaign has called for 10 days of protests while the IMF are in town. Join the protests, get involved in the Enough Campaign www.enoughcampaign.org

The meeting is scheduled to take place in Dublin City Centre from 2pm to 5pm- Agenda and venue to be communicated to you next week. But please mark the date in your diary and hopefully you will be able to come along.

Eamonn McCann, People Before Profit Alliance candidate for the Northern Assembly election on May 5th

Hi,

From Friday April 1st until the May Bank Holiday weekend, 2nd May, People Before Profit in Dublin intend to fill a mini bus each weekend to go to Derry
Eamon McCann is running in the Assembly Elections for People Before Profit in the Foyle constituency and has a chance of being elected
All the support we can give will be most appreciated.

Every Friday a 15 seater mini bus will leave Dublin at 2.30pm and return on Sunday evening.
Anyone who is willing and free to come to Derry to help leaflet, canvass, poster and generally give a dig out in Eamon's election campaign should contact Brid Smith at 087 9090166 who is organising the bus
Your accomodation will be provided in Derry homes (bring a sleeping bag)
This will be worthwhile, interesting, good crack and is most important for all of us on this island.
We will try keep costs to a minimum of €10 for each person for travel.

General Election 2011: Vote People Before Profit/ United Left Alliance

The Dail has been dissolved and the Government has set Friday 25th February as the date for the General Election.

We are urging our supporters to come out and give a hand in their area.
If you are in a position to help out, please TEXT or ring 086 90 90 166. Any help would be really appreciated.

Everyone will take a break from politics over the next ten days. We had a few weeks of intensive political activity and debate. The government pushed through the budget, the IMF deal and have delayed the elections, which are now most likely to take place on March 11th but it could come earlier or be pushed back till later again.

In the New Year we want to get organised early for the elections and for further attacks on our living standards. Most people, particularly those hit in the budget, will really feel the pinch in January and February.

People Before Profit Alliance is gearing up. We want to run candidates in as many constituencies as possible. So far we have agreed to run in the following areas
